I.What is polished porcelain tile?

Polished porcelain tiles are one of the standard floor tiles. Polished porcelain tile is a porcelain tile that has been polished on the surface of the porcelain tile body. Therefore, the surface of polished porcelain tiles is very bright and clean, with very high flatness and brightness, and low water absorption. Polished porcelain tiles are hard and wear-resistant, suitable for use in schools, hospitals, libraries, living rooms and other areas.

Ⅱ. What are the classifications of polished porcelain tile?

1. Soluble salt polished porcelain tile

Soluble salt polished porcelain tile is one of the most classic floor tile products, which appeared in about 2000.

After the adobe is fired, the soluble salt polished porcelain tile needs to be polished twice, trimmed, chamfered, and finally anti-fouling.

The core point is the final process – a super clean and bright process that will make the tile’s surface smoother and brighter.

2. Nano polished porcelain tile

Because the surface of Nano polished porcelain tile will have some particle crystal effects, the raw materials required will be more stringent than those of soluble salt polished porcelain tile. The other processes are the same as the soluble salt polished porcelain tiles.

There are usually multiple single-base colors to choose from, white, yellow, pink, gray, green, etc.

The other processes are the same as the soluble salt polished porcelain tiles.

3. Full body polished porcelain tile

It is a directly polished process after the press presses out the tile body.

When the Full body polished porcelain tile is produced, the tile surface and the tile body are the same material.

Due to the high cost of raw materials is mainly used for solid color series polished porcelain tiles.

●The traditional design is pure white polished porcelain tile.

III. What are the advantages of polished porcelain tile?

1. Polished porcelain tiles have no radioactive elements: natural stone is a mineral and has not been sintered at high temperature, so it contains individual trace radioactive elements, and long-term contact will be harmful to the human body; polished tiles will not cause harm to the human body.

2. Do not have chromatic aberration, and it can be controlled at production. Polished porcelain tiles raw materail are carefully prepared during  production, and the colors of the same batch of products are the same, and there is basically no chromatic aberration.

3. The body of polished porcelain tiles are pressed by thousands of tons of hydraulic presses, and then sintered at high temperature above 1200 °C, with high strength.

Ⅳ. How to identify the pros and cons of polished porcelain tile?

1. Watch the fineness:

Look at the color uniformity and surface finish of the tiles, and take out four or five tiles from a box to check whether there are defects such as color difference, deformation, lack of edges and corners. At the same time, look along the edge of the tile to check whether the edge of the tile is straight and whether it is bent. Whether the back of the tile is white, whether there is a factory name or paving arrows, and whether the color is uniform.

2. Tap test:

Tap the tile body with a hard object. The crisper the sound, the higher the vitrification and the better the quality. You can also hold the corner of the tile with your left thumb, forefinger and middle finger, hang it down easily, tap the middle and lower part of the tile with your right index finger, if the sound is clear and pleasant, it’s good, if the sound is dull and turbid, of course it is not good.

3. Antifouling test:

Drop colored water droplets (such as ink) on the front of the tile, let it sit for one minute and wipe it with a damp cloth. If there are traces on the tile surface, it means that dirt has been sucked into the tile; if the tile surface is still bright like a mirror, it means that the tile is not Stain-absorbing, easy to clean, good tile quality.

4. Measurement test:

The higher the accuracy of the side length of the tiles, the better the effect after paving. Buying high-quality tiles is not only easy to construct, but also saves man-hours and accessories. Use a tape measure to measure whether there is any difference in the size and periphery of each tile, and the accuracy is high.

5. Wear resistance test:

The tiles are good in hardness, toughness, and not easy to break. Scratch each other with the edges and corners of the tiles to check whether the broken pieces are dense or loose, brittle, hard or loose, soft, leaving scratches or scattered powder. If it belongs to the former, the quality is good, and the latter is on the contrary.

Ⅴ. How to match polished porcelain tiles of different colors?

1. The contrast of black and white can
increase the structure of the ground level.

2. The gray series of polished porcelain tiles
have more cultural taste and natural scenery.

3. The color of the stone pattern is
both simple and natural, but also

series make the ground look special
and have a gorgeous feeling.

nobility and elegance.

and the natural beauty of the grass lands.

feel the pleasure and comfort of the rural style.

Ⅵ. How to maintain polished porcelain tile?

First, select a qualified construction team. Whether the decorative effect of ceramic tiles can achieve the desired goal, the quality of construction is one of the keys.

Second, check before paving. During the inspection, a certain number of tiles can be tested in a vacant lot. If you are not satisfied, please suspend the construction and report to the company or the dealer in time.

Third, leave the seam properly for paving. Because the coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction of the adhesive layer and the tile itself is very different when paving floor tiles, it will cause problems such as bulging and breaking of the tiles over time.

Fourth, while leveling and paving. It is recommended that the area of the leveling layer paved with cement mortar should not be too large, to avoid excessive time and cause quality.

Fifth, clean up in time. The product should be wiped clean with wood bran or sponge in time for about 1 hour after the product is paved, so as to avoid the surface pollution.

Sixth, check in time. About 12 hours after paving, tap the tile surface with wooden hob in time to check whether the floor tiles are hollow. All tiles need to be cleaned in time after paving, and you can walk after 24 hours.

Polished porcelain tiles are favored by consumers because of their wear resistance, corrosion resistance, smooth and bright surface, and rich and diverse colors.
