Skirting Tile

Skirting tiles are simply the standard tiles themselves. The only difference is that these tiles are trimmed or manufactured in smaller sizes than standard floor tiles.

A type of skirting board called skirting tiles is composed of tiles rather than wood or other materials. They give any area an exquisite and contemporary appearance, growing in popularity. The tiles used for skirting typically have a width that varies based on the floor tile and an average height of 8 cm.

Skirting tiles are crucial for the decoration of any room since they provide the walls and flooring a finishing touch. Each type of pattern skirting tile has special characteristics and advantages. The look and feel of a space can be significantly changed by selecting the proper skirting tile color.

Skirting Tile FAQs

Q: How to install skirting tile?

Clear the surface: To remove any dirt or contaminants, clean the area where the skirting tiles will be installed first. The area should also be inspected for uneven surfaces, which should be corrected if found.
Measure the Area: If you have purchased skirting tiles, you can install them directly to the walls. When trimming normal floor tiles to make skirting tiles, you must first measure the length and height of the walls to determine the number of skirting tiles required.
Apply Adhesive: You can begin installing skirting tiles on the walls once you’ve purchased or cut them. Install the tiles in place after applying a layer of tile adhesive or cement mortar to the back.
Grout and Sea: Press each skirting tile firmly against the wall. Wipe away any excess adhesive/cement mortar with a damp sponge as you go. After the adhesive has dried, fill the gaps between the tiles with grout.

Q: What are the standard sizes of skirting tiles?

Skirting tiles are typically 8-10cm in height and length. However, this can vary depending on your decoration idea, manufacturer and style of the tile. Certain skirting tiles are made taller or longer for larger spaces, while others are made smaller and more compact for smaller spaces.

Q: Why should I use the skirting tiles?

By softening the transition between the wall and the floor, carrying the tiled floor up the wall as skirting will make your space appear larger than it actually is by drawing the eye over the floor and up the wall.

Q: How do I measure square meters for skirting tiles?

Multiply your measurements: Multiply the length and width measurements you obtained, which will give you the total square meter of the wall and/or floor areas. So, if the wall or floor measures 5m long by 4m wide, multiply 5 by 4 and your calculation will be 20 square meters.
